173 / 365: The Corrugated Fountain

Part of today's conference activities included a "field trip" to the Taubman Museum in downtown / uptown Roanoke. We were treated to a free tour followed by a wine and cheese reception.

One of the highlights of the exhibit was "The Corrugated Fountain" by James Grashow. The entire work is made of cardboard. When finished on the exhibit circuit, he will reassemble the entire piece outside and document how the cardboard will disintergrate. He believes a work of art not only has a birth, but a death as well.

Should be interesting.

Until next time....view away!
